But whether you do or you don’t, we’re going to talk about how to maximize, optimize, and utilize different social media platforms (such as Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Clubhouse).

And here’s the thing. It’s important to understand what the different platforms are all about, even if it’s to say, “You know what, this one’s not for me.”

Because there are so many choices out there. It’s not like back in the day when we only had MySpace and that was it.

Now, there are so many options and each platform has its own unique advantages. So let’s talk about it!

Let’s get one thing clear. For us, Facebook is still the best place. 

For example, if we meet someone on Clubhouse, TikTok, Instagram, or anywhere else, if they want to take a look at our business or products, our goal is to friend them up on Facebook. Why? Because we want to ATM them!*

If your question is,

Then that’s a different conversation.

So let’s get into it!

#1: TikTok

TikTok is making a killing right now!

As of the recording of this training, TikTok has 689 million monthly active users.

And here’s our favorite stat about the platform: people spend on average 52 minutes using it per day. That’s crazy!

The content on TikTok is short-form videos and everything is run by artificial intelligence. So this particular app has the most advanced algorithm.

And it’s the only social media platform right now where you can open up an account, have zero followers, create a piece of content, and go viral.

So TikTok should definitely be on your hit list if you’re looking to generate leads, specifically for your products.

#2: Instagram

As of the recording of this training, Instagram has 1.16 billion monthly active users. And 62% of those users log in at least once a day.

What we’re really loving about Instagram right now, is that it’s all about shareable content.

So it’s no longer about those beautiful feeds filled with professional photoshoots. But rather it’s about simplicity. It’s about creating sharable content.

You also have the opportunity to create carousel posts where users have to swipe right to see your whole message.

And what’s even cooler is, if you’ve mastered TikTok, you now have the option to take your TikTok videos, remove the logo, and repurpose them for Instagram Reels.

Why? Because Instagram Reels is really hot right now, and they’ll give you a ton of exposure if you show up to that platform with short-form videos.

Stories

We love to record our Stories on Instagram and automatically have those populate to our Facebook Stories.

Why? Because Stories are one of the best ways to generate leads and talk about your product. You can be a little more direct and a little more promotional in your Stories and you’ll still get a good response.

IMP: Your Instagram posts should not automatically populate to your Facebook. You can try but it doesn’t always work out because different platforms have different requirements. So tweak your posts a little and ‘translate’ them to the platform where you want to post them.

#3: LinkedIn

Are you working in the financial sphere? Insurance? Real estate? Then LinkedIn might be the place for you!

Currently, LinkedIn has 350 million monthly active users. And the average income of those people is $46,000 a year! What’s more, there are 55 job applications published every second!

So if you’re targeting people who are already professionals and maybe have their own business, then LinkedIn is the place for you!

And the great thing about this platform is that it’s starting to become more user-friendly and emulate Facebook. Now they have Groups, audio messages, and Live videos. In other words, you can translate the ATM system into LinkedIn with ease!

#4: Clubhouse

Are you an extrovert who loves to talk? Then Clubhouse might make sense for you!

The crazy thing is that the app went from 3.5 million to 8.1 million global downloads between Feb 1st-16th, 2021. In other words, in about 2 weeks, its traffic doubled!

So what should be your first steps on Clubhouse?

  1. Have an iPhone because unfortunately, the app doesn’t run on Android as of right now
  2. Start following people who are using Clubhouse the right way
  3. Follow people who are speaking about topics you’re interested in

What’s great about Clubhouse is that you could literally log in and immediately start listening to people.

It’s a super simple platform to use. And the best part? It’s all audio! So you could be doing other things as you’re listening or participating in the conversation.

And if you don’t want to do videos, Clubhouse is the place for you! It’s like having a Live podcast or a Live talk show.

And if you’re wondering how you can know if Clubhouse is here to stay, then you should know that Facebook is said to be building a new audio-only app to compete with them! That communicates to us that Clubhouse has proven that this form of interaction is blowing up. #BOOM

IMP: Play to your strengths! If you love doing videos, choose the format and platform that best suits you. If you get overwhelmed, take a step back and re-evaluate what you’re good at and what you want to do.
