How Martin Found a Leader Who Put in 180 Customers in 14 Days After Joining

A couple weeks ago I got a call from one of my top leaders named Martin

Matt! You have to talk to this new guy, Dr. David… he put in 60 customers in his first 7 days!

So of course I get on the phone with him…

He’s a PhD… lots of credibility and just working the numbers like crazy.

Then a few days later I got another call from Martin telling me Dr David hit the next rank which is 180 customers in only 14 days!

Crazy growth because Dr David is not an MLM guy bringing people from another company or an internet marketer with a big database… it was all word-of-mouth and grass roots building.

If you’re anything like I was in my first five years of network marketing, I’d hear stories like this and get pissed off!

Why can’t I find any leaders like this?!?!

Well, my friend…

Here’s why…

If you’re not attracting leaders who join your team and build like crazy, it’s because the culture of your team is not to build like crazy.

You see, Dr David joined a team with an upline who are running Mach 2 with their hair on fire.

  • His upline – building like a maniac.
  • His upline’s upline – building like a maniac.
  • His upline’s upline upline – building like a maniac.

Had he joined another team that didn’t have a culture of hard work, he wouldn’t have worked so hard and built a team of 180 customers in 14 days.

Had he joined a team that was moving slow, he would have moved MUCH slower.

You see, we’re always in the business of duplication.

  • If you want to find people who work hard, work hard.
  • If you want to find people who produce, produce.
  • If you want to find leaders, be a leader.

A couple weeks ago I wrote you a blog post telling you the #1 thing that makes a great leader.

Do you remember what it was?

Is simple – EXAMPLE.

Be the example of the culture and actions you want duplicated in your organization. 

Martin found someone to build like crazy because he is building like crazy. Had Martin created a culture of building slow, Dr David (as good as he his) would have built slow.

Side Note:

I just checked and Dr David is 599 levels deep in my organization.

It’s pretty crazy where it all came from…

It all came from a guy who messaged me on Facebook years ago in Nairobi, Kenya asking me what I do for a living because he had been seeing my posts.

He enrolled and that team has duplicated to tens of thousands of people.
