I’m going to give you 4 of our best tips for creating better results and more engagement inside of your ATM Facebook Groups!
What is ATM? It stands for Add, Tag, Message. You basically Add people to a Private Hidden Facebook Group, you Tag them in a video (or a post) you want them to see, and then you follow up with a Message. This is the best strategy for exposure and education that will help you recruit more humans and sell more product.
Over the last couple of years, our organization has done tens of millions of dollars a month in sales without three-way calls, without home parties and without passing out samples to people, all thanks to the ATM system! In our experience, that’s been the most duplicatable system we’ve ever seen.

And the thing is, creating ATM Facebook Groups is a key component of this strategy. That’s why I’m very excited to share with you the 4 best ways to improve the engagement inside of your ATM groups!
4 Ways to Improve Engagement in Your ATM Facebook Groups
Inside of my ATM group, there are people posting all day, every day. Everybody is adding people to the group. So everybody should be helping with creating conversation and creating engagement. But if your people are struggling with that, you should step up and find different ways to strategically create those conversations and get people excited to be a part of the group. Make it a big deal and make it interesting.
Here’s how!
Tip #1: Do Live Videos & Interviews
As the group grows, you can think of different ways to show up. A great strategy is to do Live videos and/or interviews!
One of the best things you can do is to schedule your appearances and do a Live show every week or every month. For example, every week we do a Money Monday show on our Business Page. And inside of our ATM groups, we have special broadcasts and giveaways. This gives people an extra incentive to be part of the Group.
If you’re not sure what to talk about during a Live broadcast or you’re feeling nervous about going Live, you can just do an interview! For example, you could do a Zoom with 3-4 top producers from the previous month or newly promoted teammates. Give them recognition and ask them about their story.
Identify different types of people (the busy business owner, the stay-at-home mom, the nurse, the school teacher, the firefighter) that are winning in your business and highlight them. Why? Because someone else can relate to their story.
Hearing different perspectives that are relatable to your prospect — that will close more business than anything else!
Tip #2: Ask Interesting Questions
Think through what simple questions you could start asking in your ATM Group. Here are some of my favorites:
- “What is your favorite part about ABC company?”
- “Which product is your favorite and why?”
- “What’s the main reason you got on this product?”
- “Why did you decide to start a home-based business?”
And you know what? People will start sharing and answering the questions! And then other members will start tagging their prospects in the comments. Because they’ll be like, “Oh my gosh, this is good stuff. I want my prospects to see this information.” And that’s how engagement grows!
So start thinking outside the box. You might be surprised by the answers you get!
I challenge you to test this strategy out and see the results for yourself!
Tip #3: Encourage Testimonials & Recognition
You want to recognize what you want to see repeated.
I recognize people who are:
- Recruiting
- ATMing their face off
- Working hard
That’s right – you shouldn’t wait for spectacular results to give gratitude. I focus on recognizing people who are putting in the work.
Why? Because I want them to continue to do the thing that they’ve been doing and because it’s going to help them get the results they desire. But more importantly, it’s going to encourage and inspire other people on the team to do the same.
What about your Product Groups? Do something similar! For example, you could have your customers share their Before and Afters and talk about their results!
Tip #4: Run Challenges
I like to run campaigns and challenges. They create a ton of excitement and engagement!
You could do a:
- 5-day video challenge
- 7-day book challenge
- 10-day personal development challenge
As for prizes, they don’t have to be expensive. You could give away coaching calls, products, cash, Starbucks gift cards.
Whatever you do, keep it simple! Your goal should be to get people into the Group and find strategic ways to get them to take action.
Once they’re there, they’ll learn more about the products your company offers or about the business. They’ll also see all the testimonials and they’ll get exposed to things they might not have considered before. It’s a win-win!
